Today sucked.
Vix was working at the boutique, and I had nothing to do. Usually, that wouldâve been my cue to go back to work, but I wasnât ready to go into the studio yet. I could work from home, but at this rate, with my mind still churning over that guy I saw, it would take most of the day just to get through the mail.
By the time I was ready for a shower, it felt like Iâd spent the entire day beating my head against a wall for all Iâd accomplished. I kept going round and round in my mind, wondering if Vix felt the same way as I felt about her.
Leopard at des Artistes was the kind of place where a suit was appropriate, and since I planned to have a serious conversation with Vix, looking my best was a good idea. I selected my favorite black suit I designed last year. Maybe I could score a few points in my favor for being a snappy dresser.
It seemed to work. When Vix opened the door to her apartment, her expression told me so. Her eyes glowed as her gaze ran down my body and up again, tempting me to fuck her right now. But we had to do things right if this relationship would be more than just a fling. We needed to discuss our feelings and where we wanted things to go. Being vulnerable wasnât easy for me. Opening up always meant a chance to get hurt.
But damn, she was smoking hot.
She wore the little black dress I designed for the fashion show, sexy and appropriate for fine dining.
âYou look amazing,â I said.
âWell, the dress was made for me,â she said. âBy an amazing and talented guy. Heâs pretty good-looking too.â
âOh, really?â I teased. âMaybe you should go out with him tonight instead.â
Vix laughed and said she was ready to go.
